ANAIKKA’s DEBUT : KANIKA SALUJA

After making waves in the international market with her label, Nikka New York, designer Kanika Saluja is all set to debut at WIFW with her label Anaikka and its accessory line this season. Here’s a slice of what’s in store…

If you were to pick the perfect ensemble for this S/S ‘12, what would it be? I love wearing things from my own collection, so it would be our polo breeches in navy with a leather trim on the waist, the electric blue button down shirt and the herringbone double flap cropped jacket.

Tell us about your A/W ‘12 collection. Anaikka means a woman who’s is touch with both her feminine and masculine side. It’s a collection for the powerful, individual, confident, alpha-female of today.

If you were to pick the perfect ensemble for S/S ‘12, what would it be? It would be a hand-woven straight-line dress, with Swarovski woven into the textile, much like the garments in my own collection and pair it with elegant black brogues. All in all, the look would be elegant, minimal and basic. 

Tell us about your A/W ‘12 collection. My Autumn/Winter collection, Framed but Changed is a little architectural; it is simple, clean, engineered much like couture craft. Inbuilt with Swarovski in fine woven blends, its luxurious, brilliant yet understated._
